Senior Leadership Instructor -Full Time 

Salary: £25,000-£28,000 per annum

Hours: 38 hours per week

Starting in May 2010

 

Southide works in Lambeth and Southwark with Afrian and Caribbean boys aged eight and over in danger of being excluded from school.  The boys exhibit potential for excellence but are falling behind in their learning.  Their behaviour patterns are making things difficult at home and at school.

 

We are looking for a highly motiviated and ethusiastic individual with over 3 years experience of working with black boys in an educational or youth setting.  You will be responsible for planning activities, running the Saturday Academy and organising a daytime programme during the school holidays.  You will also have an educational support role with schools and Southside Tutors.  This position is based in Camberwell.

 

You will also be responsible for managing sessional staff and building a creative and challenging leadership programme that prepares boys for adult life.  You wil have the support of the Parents' Forum and office volunteer staff.   All applicants should promote diversity and be able to work cooperatively in a small team.
